How we check contacts.
Which addresses we leave out when you import, and why.
Every address you import is checked. Bad addresses bounce, and bounces hurt your domain. So we leave them out before you send.
What we leave out
No mail server. The domain can’t receive email. Often a typo, like gmial.com.
Throwaway inboxes. Temporary addresses that nobody reads.
Team addresses. Like info@ or sales@. Few replies, more spam reports. These are not imported unless you tick Also import team addresses.
What you see
After the import, the summary shows how many addresses were left out for each reason.
Already blocked
Anyone on your blocklist, or who bounced or unsubscribed before, is skipped too. See Your blocklist.
Good habits
- Use lists you trust. Bought lists bounce a lot.
- Remove people who left their company.
- Keep your bounce rate under 2–3%. See Bounces and auto-pause.
